Hello everyone, new member of the forums here. Active part of the hobby with my youtube channel eliteco3 and ebay store Cardboard Futures. I would like to know how to properly measure vintage cards to increase the chances that PSA will slab them.
I have had many older 50's and 60's cards come back in the past Minimum Size Requirement. You essentially lose out on getting the card slabbed and the grading fees when this happens. What is the lowest size that is acceptable by PSA as the correct size. I am also aware that many cards from the vintage era were miscut and cut in slightly different sizes. Any help on this would be awesome. Cheers, Nolan |

Good equipment is a fine start.
This would make for a nice beginning. https://www.amazon.com/Taytools-Mach...02325698&psc=1 And eventually one of these if you want to measure thickness too. https://www.ebay.com/p/Pittsburgh-6-Digital-Caliper-With-Metric-and-SAE-62569/25011370412?iid=123700023446&chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=123700023446&targetid=539174355595&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9001898&poi=&campaignid=1881303751&mkgroupid=70803274795&rlsatarget=aud-762207186714 ![]() Neither are all that high quality, but are good enough for doing cards. |

For what it's worth, PSA does not charge you the grading fee if they determine it MINSIZREQ or factory miscut (a.k.a. not rectangular). If you think you were charged for those before, check your statements and request a voucher if they did.
But PSA doesn't publish their minimum sizes, to my knowledge. They've also been found incapable of doing this consistently, because frequently cards they deem minsize get slabbed on successive submissions.
