My apologies to anyone on this board who may have consigned this card. It appears to me to have a very suspicious lower right corner. I would say trimmed. What say you?

why wouldn't they trim the entire left border? That edge looks like it was cut with a DULL blade at Topps

Because people care, but not enough people. The guys doing the sleuthing at Blowout and folks like Peter over on the prewar forum are doing great work, but at least so far it does not appear to be enough. At the end of the day, most people who are able to throw high-roller dollars at vintage cards have the ends justified in the means when a nice vintage piece is theirs in a high-end slab. I do think plenty of folks care - but I don’t think we’re in the majority. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

very irritating to say the least. Seems it is business as usual for them after all the scamming they have taken part in

I sent several cards to SGC and I slipped in a trimmed card to see if they would catch it and they did on the first attempt.
I then turned around and sent the same one CAUGHT by SGC to PSA and it got graded. I cracked it out of the case and sent it again to PSA a second time and it came back again with a higher grade. Very strange why this would happen but now I know; https://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...=.f4f1b1d13892 I have since cracked from case and consider the card a dead card since no one wants a trimmed card except as a placeholder like I have used it. |

How would any reasonable prosecutor be able to prove someone altered a card ?
It’s going to be very very difficult to prove.....so sad.....long rung all this exposure will be a good thing for the industry...check out on the Pre War Side Last edited by Johnny630; 07-18-2019 at 10:15 AM. |
