Just curious - if you were making a list of the top / most desirable high-numbered cards that does NOT include 1952 Topps #311 - what would they be? What comes to mind for me are the '67 Brooks Robinson #600, and the '70 Nolan Ryan #712. But for the 1960's particularly, I know there are a ton of tough high series cards - and many that are commons. What's on your list?

What he said. Plus, of course, 1966 Choo Choo Coleman and the 1967 Red Sox Team.

The 1952 #407 Mathews comes to mind.
In addition to Seaver, there appear to be 10 other highs in 67 that are tough, all in the same row as Tom Terrific. 66 SP's can bedevil folks too. |

As a Cubs fan, the '66 Billy Williams SP has been on my list for a while. It does not seem ultra rare, however. I may get on the auction bandwagon for one later this year - most BIN prices on eBay are high - even for mid-grade copies - and I don't want to spent $100 on it or anything - but I'm thinking in waiting out some reasonable auctions I should be able to score something decent.

The Seaver in almost any grade is ridiculous. One of the reasons I really considered not going after the '67 set (but did anyway...) A PSA 3-4 range card is still going to be between $300-400. Guess I just need to start saving. Most of the star cards I have in this set so far are at least 5's.

![]() Tougher than Paige or Snider are any of these 1949 Bowman Hi #'s....#145 - 180. Especially, Preacher Roe (#162), Terry Moore (#175), Luke Appling (#175), and Stan Lopata (#177). TED Z T206 Reference |

Ted, Agreed, I still need Roe and took forever to find Lopata. I picked Snider and Paige because as RC's and high #'s they are so expensive!!

I had no idea any of those 4 were hard! Picked up a lot with those in it about 2 years ago. Priced it as I would any other 1949 high number commons, with a smidge more for Appling since he was a minor HOFer. Ironically I missed out on many of the other high number lots the guy was selling - so I always assumed these were EASIER. Cheers, Patrick

'67 Topps #580 Rocky Colavito. Had no idea what that card (the photo is a beauty) typically goes for. Just picked up an EX or so (OC) one for my growing '67 set...should be here sometime next week.

Colavito is the last card I need to finally complete my 1967 set. Have the penultimate card, #563 Joe Adcock, on the way. Now it's time to go a few rounds with Rocky.
