Question about R310 Butterfinger premiums

Never actually seen one in person. What is the paper/card stock like? I've seen them described as "thin," but does that mean like a Goudey Wide Pen? Or are they more like paper?

Paper, brutally susceptible to tearing. There are cardboard versions with the red Butterfinger ad that are very attractive, presumed to be store displays, but they are somewhat scarce.

They are thinner than paper. If you pull them out of the top loader to fast, they tear. I once spent several hundred dollars for a Babe Ruth only to tear it in half when I tried removing it from the top loader.

If you ever buy one and its in a top loader, just leave it in there to preserve.

I have a few for sale at my eBay store as we talk.

I always stored them in a dark airtight container in a stack with Ruth Gehrig etc. close to center. They seemed to stand up better as a bunch. As was stated before singles are very fragile.
The premiums were thought to come on top of the box that held the premiums, so that you stood it up behind and kids took the top one when the bought a candy bar. I remember that I found mostly Cardinal players as displays. But I did find other teams but mostly St. Louis.

Thin paper stock. A trimmed and framed one in my office. I would leave them alone and not handle them too much, out of holders.
