Nice looking Kelly,

Can I ask what you mean by SGC 30/2/A in the description?

Thank you

sorry bout that, i started to explain then it got too wordy. it was originally in a SGC 30/2 holder and when i sent it in for a re-slab, it came back an "A"

Default thanks

Do you think it was due to trimming?

Someone emailed and asked same question. I do not think its trimmed. I think its the glue on the back. Maybe they should have graded it Auth the first time and didnt so they corrected it. Still a great looking card.

Great looking card. The glue wouldn't make it AUT, unless it had something to do with hiding some flaw, I believe. The corners have no fraying and are somewhat worn. That is probably a trimming issue. That said this card in question presents better than many which are several grades higher.

I'd have to pull it out and bring out the microscope but maybe a tad bit of paperloss near the glue(?) I did not see any trimming but could be wrong, maybe i'm just not seeing it. it's tough to put it up so if it stays in the collection then "oh darn"

See, this is what is maddening about this and still confuses me. I got a T3 Tris Speaker graded which came back Auth. It had pinholes which had a tiny bit of blue color within and around the holes. I called and they told me this was the only reason that it received an A. It was not trimmed or anything else. Now tell me, who would try to cover up a pinhole with blue paint? To me it's very likely this was pinned up on a wall with blue paint. So why the A??

And to follow up , make this relevant to this post. Why would this Kelly come back Auth? The glue is not an attempt to improve the card.

maybe a way to cover up the original mistake? i was upset and will give them a call to figure out why the grade. if it's trimmed then so be it, if it's the glue then so be it. i think they should give you a comment of why any card doesnt number grade.
