Tom Barker "in action" cards

I was wandering around on the internet, and saw these Tom Barker game cards I hadn't seen before. They show some neat game action shots. If this has been discussed before I apologize. I was wondering who was being shown "in action". They aren't identified on the PSA flip. Thought it might be interesting to see if some of our experts can help identify who is being shown in these game action shots. I was able to blow up the first two.

I always wanted to post about this as well. The only one I know about that has been identified (at least most people think it is a correct ID) is the one that shows Ty Cobb sliding. I will sometime soon post even more close-up photos of all the action cards so that someone can spot a familiar ear or two.

These are actually National Game action cards instead of Tom Barker, but both sets have the same 9 action cards. The only one I know that has been identified is the Ty Cobb sliding (last card shown). A few of these are likely to never be identified (anyone recognize the butt of the player laying down in front of bag?), but maybe someone out there will recognize a player or two.

The first one looks like Ty Cobb making the tag! Very cool set using pictures that are not mainstream or in other issues. I didnt realize how many HOFers are in this game set. Wonder if this was the prelude to the Cracker Jack set the following year?

The second from bottom - vertical format - looks like Hal Chase. It's a Yankee/Highlander player and, without looking at ears, the jaw and visible facial structure looks like a match.

Good job...you might have something there. As far as the Ty Cobb fielding, I had the same thought, but it doesn't quite make sense, as Ty was of course an outfielder. Up until 1913 he had only played in the outfield, but he did play one game at 2nd base, so I guess it is possible, although the play looks to be at third base.

A few other observations. The catcher in the second card I posted looks awfully familiar as does the batter in the fourth card, and the batter in the third card appears to be a member of the Red Sox.

3rd one down of batter bears a passing resemblance to Fred Snodgrass, but it does appear to say Red Sox on his chest if I squint hard so perhaps Hick Cady.
