1913 Cleveland Indians vs. Philadelphia Athletics Snapshots **SOLD**

Here is a scrapbook page that contain two snapshots taken at the August 6, 1913 baseball at Shibe Park where the A’s hosted the visiting Cleveland Indians including Joe Jackson.
Snapshots still attached to scrapbook page. Each measures approximately 4.5 inches by 2.75 inches. They have vintage ink notation on them as all photos in the scrapbook had. The snapshots have nice clarity and focus.
One photo identified as Main Entrance Shibe Park and shows the 1st base side of the park. The other photo identifies Athletics vs. Cleveland 8/6/13 and Cleveland on Field. Records show the A’s won 7 to 1 with Frank Baker hitting his 10th home run of the season. Stars of the Indians that played that day include Joe Jackson in right field and Nap Lajoie at second base. The photo shows Cleveland on defense. Jackson cant be seen in the photo due to a pillar but Lajoie presumably is at 2nd base.
Great photos taken at Shibe Park in 1913 which was a World Championship year for A’s who would defeat the New York Giants in the world series a few months after these photos were taken.
