Can anyone help identify this card?
I find it interesting that its an Old Judge card... by Goodwin and Company... ...and at the same time it says that its MISS GOODWIN. Is it the actual Daughter of the Goodwin from the Goodwin & Co? What series is this from? N? And can someone guess the value of the card? Image seems about as good as it can get. Thanks in advance! ![]() |

Yes I assumed that already. I was more curious about the fact that her NAME was in fact Miss Goodwin as well. Coincidence? Member of the family?

ahh - probably should've read your entire post - or had more coffee. I'd actually assume it was a contest winner/pageant type thing, rather than a matriarch of sorts. but I'll leave the real answer to someone who invariably has beeter insights (and reading comprehension skills) |

That would be a pretty cool card if it is THE Goodwin.

Personally, I doubt that they would do what in that time would be considered a very risqué card of a family member. Remember, these were considered sexy for that time. See how she is showing off her leg?

I don't think it would be considered risque at all. Have you seen the actress series cards? I don't find anything atypical about this one compared to them except the subject might be more interesting for baseball card guys.

It's Myra Goodwin, a vaudeville actress.

Too risqué for me. I'm old fashioned though.

It's theater actress Myra Goodwin. She has several other tobacco card issues and cabinet photos if you do a Google image search.
Don't see this particular one listed anywhere though. I used to collect these years ago when I was in a Lillian Russell phase. It was a cheap way to pick up lots of American 19th century real photo tobacco cards, really cheap. Kind of wish I held onto them, they are really neat. |

Can you post a scan of the back? Is this an n167 type 2? Second and third guesses, n171, n174.

Your Myra Goodwin card is an N171 type 7. This style of Old Judge card is most common in Australia circa 1889-1890 (distributed through export packs of OJ Cigs).
