This elderly fellow needs help on putting on photos of some baseball items plus other things.
I've tried and tried but just don't get it to work. So can I get some help from you younger fellows to get rid of the stress it's giving me. I use the [management attachments] part. --------------------------------------------------------- Manage Attachments Upload Errors DSCF2198.JPG: Upload of file failed. Upload File from your Computer Upload File from a URL ---------------------------------------------------------- This is what comes up. Can someone talk me through the procedure? I hit browse go to my photos highlight one I want and hit open-- upload but above is what I get. Should I somehow upload from URL which I have no idea what that is. Do appreciate anyone who takes some time to get me going so I can get some stuff on. I HOPE IT'S EASY ENOUGH! Thanks, Joe Contact me if you want with e-mail: spark929@yahoo.com - |

Hi sir
Glad to try to help. Not sure if I am younger at 56 because it seems everyone is usually younger than me wherever I go!! At any rate I think I might see the issue. Our system only allows around 85kb to be uploaded. The system will downsize the image automatically UNLESS it is way too large. So anything over approx 500kb might not work as it's too big for our system to downsize. From your file name I think you might be using a camera to take pictures, uploading them to your computer and then without doing anything else to the picture except name it, upload it here. That won't fly in almost any circumstance because the files camera photos make are 1mb+ and usually much, much larger. When I use my camera I downsize the photo by about 70% and they work. My camera photos will never upload without downsizing them. Check your file size and get back to me....sorry you are having issues too. The system is fairly easy once you know it. You can always shoot me a PM for help too.....

Joe
Try this online image compressor before trying to upload to Net54 http://optimizilla.com/ I use this all the time to get photos down to around 300K prior to posting on the coin forum or Net54. Roy Z. |

You should be able to simply resize your camera images on your own computer.
#1 Simply open the picture to view on your computer (Be sure to be viewing your photo at FULL SIZE) #2 You should then be able to choose "Re-size" from an edit menu. #3 I usually re-size to 600-800 #4 Re-name and save Image. The other problem with the Net54 site is that it is a dinosaur. Most all message boards now days allow photos to be uploaded directly from your computer. With Net54's outdated system you still have to upload your photos to an on-line hosting site. Then the hassle of copying and pasting the URL code from the on-line site that is hosting your photos.
