Over the last year or so, I've probably tried 5 different ballpoint pens for baseballs, but still can't seem to find one that has constant even pressure with bold blue ink. What's the consensus on the best blue pen to use?
Thanks!

The Bic's I was talking about used to be white with a blue cap (but it looks like it's changed since the last time I went to get baseballs signed (Ok, so I'm old).
Looks like the new versions are either the one you pictured, or a similar one that says extra smooth. I believe it's more about the ink and being medium pt, so I believe either of those would do well...at least, that's what I will use in the future as I'm going to start up getting balls signed again. |

Agree. A strong, bold blue.
I HATE the weak signatures you get from light blue ballpoints with a razor tip.

Thanks guys. I was also told BIC Crystal medium point, so I'll buy a few packs and do a comparison.

Pentel RSVP blue fine point
Yes, not as deep of a blue as Bic but less likely to smear or bleed. I have lots of baseballs signed with Bic that have bled over the years. Not one issue with the Pentel. Bic used to be my go to but no longer. |
