This is being posted in the main section because it seems appropriate, has to do with Pre-War players and is written by one of our esteemed members. He asked for some assistance in posting it, which I am always happy to do for members.

Very cool. My wife is from Athens and we still get back there as often as we can. I'm sure I've gone by the old factory location.

Very interesting article, thanks for posting.
I've also been to Athens several times, working and with my son while he was at UGa.

I live a few minutes outside of Athens. My father in law is a retired fireman who actually helped fight the fire that destroyed the old factory. I have a couple of old bats also.

Thanks for sharing this article! I used to live in Athens, GA ... and my family still does. We talk about the Hanna bat company every Summer when I go down there to visit (my whole family are baseball fans!). I used to drive by the old Hanna factory site every day when I went to work at UGA. Unfortunately ... I never did find a Hanna bat. Maybe THIS Summer :-) Anyway ... thanks again for posting this article!

Thank all of you for the kind words. I appreciate it. I have been researching this company for 30+ years. Any more help or leads you could give me, I would appreciate it. I also have some older catalogs that I can look Hanna bat styles if you have any.
