See all sorts of eBay posts lately for something called "picture sheets". Wasn't aware of them but was intrigued. A picture sheet sounds kind of cool. Unfortunately I think it's just what we used to call "page ripped out of a book". Good marketing though.

There's an eBay seller who has tens of thousands of items, and it seems like most of it is just junk cut out of magazines, newspapers and baseball guides. In my opinion, the level of BS in the descriptions rises to the level of fraud or deception. I've contacted eBay about it, but the fox is guarding the hen house ...

Until 1977, the name Chilean sea bass didn’t exist and few people ate the fish before the 1990s. Prior to that, scientists knew the fish by the less mouth-watering name of "Patagonian Toothfish." In fact, the fish isn't a bass at all, and is very rarely caught off the coast of Chile. The Chilean sea bass is a pure marketing invention. Similarly, since we would never order dead baby calf off a restaurant menu, the term "veal" was created. Gotta love marketing.

Yep. Ditto for tilapia. Think that was coined a few years ago. Same fish is referenced in the Bible with more ordinary name.

Third party grading is another clever way of selling crap as gold. Pay way more for a card because of the plastic encapsulating it. All it takes is a shiny hologram and a barcode above your 100+ year old tobacco advertisement and we're hooked. *I don't actually think the species of fish is crap.
