Was it unusual for many of these issues to have blank-backs that were then typed with a company name?
For example, I have a D304 Ty Cobb that does not have any of the bakeries normally seen advertising on the back. Instead, the back would be blank if not for the following: "South Allegan Manufacturing Co. Allegan, Michigan" I have tried every way I know to research this and other cards similarly typed on, but am not able to come up with any information, so I suspect these are very rare cards, but... Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks |
