After reading a comment just now, concerning Matthew, I want to address the issue of anonymity and privacy on the board. No one can be 100% anonymous and be a member. All members have to supply the same, verifiable contact info for registration in order to be a member. Do some sneak under the door? No doubt. But I don't think it's a ton. And quite honestly who cares? There is no secret or confidential information we keep. At worst a phone number could be hacked from my personal computer but that is a very long shot to start with. And that is it. There is nothing else to get from sneaking past registration (unless you have been banned, which is usually the case).
So, yes to me, Matthew has every right to know who was saying that stuff in the other thread and has now been told via email. I would want to know if someone said those things my way. He should have PM'd me and let me handle it. Those issues are handled 100% of time and usually very quickly. He went ballistic without giving Peace a chance. I just got off of a very nice phone call with Sliphorn, Thomas xxxx. At this point I am not making his whole name known but I do have it. Sliphorn is known and actually is someone that has had a poor experience with Matthew. Matthew just went about this ALL WRONG to find out the info. He was completely wrong about this person being anonymous blah, blah, blah, though he was private at the time with only a user id being shown. If anyone throws any barbs in another member's direction they have every right to know who that is. That goes for giving ANY opinion or even stating a fact. The rule in bold letters might be amended to make it more clear. Even if you are exposing a fact about someone or a company your name is going to be there. If that is an issue anyone can PM me and we can talk about it. Sometimes I will post those things for others and sometimes not. But every member is allowed to post about any company or person as long as their name is next to it. Otherwise, members can stay private on the board. .
