I just purchased a T210-3 Old Mill card of Belew (Fort Worth) a few days ago, and I was curious to know if anyone has been able to find his full name. He never made the team, and isn't listed in Baseball Reference.
As with many of the early Minor League issues, players found themselves issued in sets when they never made the Official Team Rosters. Players were photographed in Spring Training, cards were produced, but they never made the grade. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Patrick |

Hey Patrick,
His first name was Charles - at least according to the book "When Panthers Roared: The Fort Worth Cats and Minor League Baseball". You can find it (or parts of it) on Google Books. One page includes the image below (sorry for the image size). -- Mike |
