So I always read about auction houses that set a record sale for some item or another. I am wondering how they know this is a record sales price, is it just that it shows as the highest price on VCP? Or are there places to look elsewhere for record sales prices? Just curious where people get this info.

HI Ed,
When Sterling uses the statement "Highest Recorded" I do use the data from VCP, I know it is not a do all end all but it a very solid reference. If there is another source that would be great but have not found it to date. Thanks, I look forward to everyone's participation in Auction #65 which is Open for Bidding, Lee Behrens 320-219-1372
