Great looking card, congrats...btw, links are allowed here. Just about everything is allowed except staying anonymous when giving opinions of people or companies. Happy collecting.....now you need a Ruth 144 (my avatar), my fave card of all time, probably.

We need more good vintage collectors so it is always my pleasure to spread the word. What I don't want to do is "steal" members from other sites.
I very rarely PM folks about this site unless they are really looking for a place to talk vintage. And being members of multiple sites is good too. I post a bit on BO ....and read a few others. It's all good.

And I still do need #144 and #53 to complete the 4 in my collection. I can't wait to check this one out when it comes, it looks real sharp.

LOL.... before I sold my first collection a few years ago I remember finagling bills and such so I could fit in my purchases. Never had any money in the bank but had some nice cards . Such is the life of collecting. I said I wasn't going to do it again and probably have spent more than I wanted to, in a few months, than I should have in several years. I keep telling myself I am not going to continue buying so much and then I see something like the Ambrotype, the 1903 AL Pass or the W575 pack of cards that I won't see again (probably ever)....So I really have no choice .
On these grades, if it were me, I would pick the best looking card in a 3 or below. Show me very many 3s that look better than this.. Collect the cards, especially in this grade, and not the holders....would be my way. But if it is a 3 you have to have, I can appreciate that too. Have fun and all is good..

I would be interested in seeing it to keep in the back of my mind for consideration, but probably wouldn't be able to purchase it for a few weeks if I wanted it.

I spent over $15k on cards since May 1st on ebay, so I need to take a step back and make some more sales from my business. I'm interested in seeing it, but don't want to get your hopes up that I will purchase it next week.

If you want to PM me your asking price and scans, that would obviously help me in deciding my next Ruth purchase.

I said 3 or less . That might be the nicest looking 3.5 I have seen. Love it.
The point is buy what you like!!
Oh, and Chris, that is the whole point of the lower grade holder not getting as much money. You might not have to pay as much on the front end so the back end isn't as important...in that regard. You paid the lower price up front. Unfortunately, I didn't pay the lower price on mine .

I was hoping you wouldn't notice.
I guess I subconsciously turned it into a "show your undergraded Ruth card" post
