1978 Yamakatsu Japanese Baseball Lot with Oh

Included in the lot are four cards from the 1978 Yamakatsu Japanese Baseball card set. All four cards have slight wear to the corners (see photos), and card #41 (Yazawa) has slight remnant of what could be adhesive on the very upper back of the card. The 1978 Yamakatsu cards are approx. 2 3/8" x 3 3/8" in size, although you can see (as indicative in the pics) that the cards are not all the same height. This is found often with the 1978 cards. They have not been trimmed. There are 42 cards in the Yamakatsu set. Great to add to your collection or to start the set!

#1 Sadaharu Oh (flamingo pose)
#20 Senichi Hoshino (Chunichi Dragons)
#28 Hisao Niura (Tokyo Giants)
#41 Kenichi Yazawa (Chunichi Dragons)

Hoshino pitches for the Dragons and later managed and is currently the manager for the Rakuten Golden Eagles. He was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 2017. Yazawa played from 1970-86 all with the Dragons and finished with a batting average of .302 with over 2000 career hits (Japanese equivalent of 3000 hits for MLB).
