There is a guy local to me (Ohio) that has the following:
x1 Case '88 Topps x3 Case '89 Topps x3 Case '90 Topps 24 Boxes per case. Is there a market for these? Does anyone know anyone who deals with these years? Thanks! |

The 90 case might be the most popular among that group simply because it could have the Thomas NNOF in it. Other than that, they won't command much. Might talk to BBCE about them. They might be interested in selling. You can usually find a case of each of those for under $100 on eBay, some quite a bit lower than that.

Probably need to find a local buyer as the cost to ship them would considerably bite into the price you would realize. Maybe Craig's list or a local dealer at a show.

I don't really play much in that area, but I think the NNOFs came out of a funky configuration of cellos. I could be wrong. You may be right that the 1990 will sell for more because of the perception one way or the other.

I can't imagine why anyone would want these. Sometimes when I purchase a large collection there will be unopened wax from 1988 through 1991. If I am lucky, I can sell these for a buck or two per box at card shows. The same thing goes for full sets.

Because they would be AWESOME to rip open that much wax. What to do with the basically worthless cards afterwards is a completely different story.

I'll pay $3/box for just about anything. Figure it takes an hour to open/look through them all. Three dollars for an hour of pack-opening entertainment is one of the last remaining hobby bargains.

Thank you for all the info. Shipping seems to be the issue selling this off. If I were to buy them, it is someone that is already trying to sell local so I doubt I could do that.

Spending 10 dollars an hour to have fun is right about par for a solid argument. I think it costs more to go bowling or to go play pool and drink some beers than it does to open some low cost packs of cards. If you are looking to spend time with a kid, most of the time it doesn't matter what you are actually doing, hence a low cost fun that is highly talkative and highly interactive is usually the best choice.
