As many of you have done I have ammassed a large pile of "stuff" that I always intended to do something with but never did. So in the interest of cleaning out room and getting rid of stuff I probably will never do anything with and getting it into the hands of those who may, I wanted to offer it here. I have put prices on these items but if you feel they are out of line please message me and discuss it. I am trying to clear out space not conserve it with this stuff.
The first item I have is a Topps 1/2 certificate that is dated to 1944. These certificates were included in boxes of bazooka bubble gum and would allow the retailer to save a number of these certificates and redeem them for various items such as a coffee pot or dinnerware. While not extremely rare these are interesting collectibles of a time before Topps was king of the sports cards world. This item has no folds and is pristine as a 70 plus year old piece of paper can be. I am sure you will like it. SOLD for ten dollars. Thank you ![]() ![]() The next item I have is a Ken Hubbs black and white photo from a team photo pack. There appears to be tape remains on the top and bottom but overall it looks great with the tape able to be matted out. Looking for 5 dollars on this item. ![]() A number of years ago I sent Frank Crosetti a through the mail autograph request and he graciously replied with a beautiful autograph on the card I had sent. Once I looked inside the envelope I realized that, in order to protect my card Mr. Crosetti inserted into the SASE this credit card offer that was addressed directly to him from Chase. I immediately thought it was a pretty cool keepsake of the Yankee lifer but also realized that this might not be the kind of thing to be throwing on Ebay. Well fast forward to today I was cleaning out my closet and found this offer once again. I assumed that since he is no longer with us it might be appropriate to now go ahead and see if any collector would like this unusual item. Since I have no idea what it is worth I thought the best thing to do is to put it up here in an auction and see where it goes. This is a normal credit card offer form that is one full sheet but has been folded five times to fit the normal credit card offer envelope. Mr. Crosetti has taken a blue sharpie and drew squiggly lines all over it to negate the possibility of anyone trying to obtain a card in his name. Let me just say I am still shocked that anyone would send something like this to a complete stranger but it has created a cool collectible. i am asking five dollars on this item. ![]() The next item is a Philadelphia Phillies spring training advertising piece that contains the full spring training roster and schedule on one side and a full 1962 regular season schedule and other Phillip facts on the other. This item has been folded as it was originally meant to be.there are some tape marks near the top but are not noticible. I am asking 5 dollars on this item ![]() ![]() The next item is a small Chicago Cubs lot of which both of these items were recovered by me from the old home team clubhouse in Wrigley Field in the mid-80's. I worked for the team and was able to go into the clubhouse down the left field line after they had moved al of the team equipment to the new clubhouse and found these items. This clubhouse I speak of is now the grounds crew locker room but for years it served the team as it's Wrigley Field home. This lot consists of the following items: A cloth Cubs sticker that was used for tam luggage and other team related items when it was shipped to and from away games. The locker room attendant would write the players number on the open space to ensure that this luggage would be delivered to the proper locker. This sticker is still on it's original backing and has never been used. The other item is a ticket envelope that dates back to the late 60's or 70's and I defy you to find another like it (other than the two I have sold over the years). Both of these unique items would be an awesome addition to your collection. I am looking for 12 bucks delivered on this lot OBO. ![]() The next item is a phantom World Series ticket from 1977 when the South Side Hit Men took Chicago by storm. Sadly, this ticket was never used as no world series was played in Chicago that year. This is a full, unused ticket and I am asking Four bucks delivered. ![]() The next item is a phantom sheet of tickets for the American League playoffs and World Series for the 1982 Chicago White Sox. Once again, sadly there was no series in Chicago that year either. Looking for 8 dollars delivered. ![]() ![]() More items coming this week. Thanks for looking.
