Chic Harley

Some of you might know that Ohio State will wear 1916 throwback uniforms this weekend against Nebraska to commemorate Chic Harley and their first National Championship. Over the past few months I acquired 2 postcards and several photos via ebay from the estate of a person (last name likely was Bower) who may have been in a fraternity that was involved in recruiting Chic to OSU in 1914 or may have played on the team. See attached for two that I believe show Chic. I was wondering if anyone might have access to photos of Chic when he was a Senior at East High School in Columbus (I contacted the Columbus Public Library and the library at East High but neither have yearbooks), 1914 era photos of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house on OSU campus or photos of the rush from that era, or any other information or photos that might prove or disprove that either of these show Chic. Go to the Columbus Historical Society. They probably have tons of yearbooks.
Similarly, I was able to obtain copies of 1919 - 1920 team photos of the Tonawanda, NY football team which later became the Kardex in 1920. They played one game (0-1-0), lost, and folded in 1921. Probably the most obscure NFL football team. There were numerous letters from the NFL Hall of Fame asking for ANY information on the team in their file. Well...I sat on the photocopies for 10 years and was able to identify some players on postcards that were listed on Ebay. It was one of my best finds ever. I'd try there...good luck!!
