Here are two pictures of Kid Herman taken at West Side Park in Chicago who was a boxer from 1899 to 1907. Please see my previous post on the BST board for the background information on this collection of scrapbook photos.
Here is a link with information on Kid Herman's boxing career.

Apparently he was also a "mascot" of the Chicago Cubs. If you look online at 1906 Cubs team postcards of images taken by Fred Wagner you will see Herman sitting in the front row identified as the "mascot"
Here are two separate pictures of him still on scrapbook paper. The photograph parts measure approximately 5.5 inches by 3.25 inches Both pictures have the reverse of the scrapbook page still attached which is a non-baseball photo.
In one picture he is in a Cubs uniform and part of his name is still visible on the remaining scrapbook paper. He is wearing a first baseman's mitt which ironically looks just like the mitt Frank Chance is wearing in an image I have of him that came with this collection. There is a little chipping on the right side of the photo resulting in loss of the photo and the scrapbook paper and what you see as white is the back of the photo on the other side of the scrapbook page that did not get chipped off.
In the other picture he is in street clothes and is identified as a pugilist. I actually think this picture is also taken at West Side Park on the upper roof of the grandstand as I believe that is the grandstand boxes in the background of the picture that would be looking out towards the field. I say this because of other photographs I have.
Selling both photos as a pair. **SOLD**
