I'm sure we all have been at this moment. You love the look of a card but maybe the player is not a star. It might be as bad as being a player from a rival team. But it looks great ! Aleast in your personal point of view.
I'll start . And I'll start it pre war👍 But if you can post whatever you like other sports even. Not my card lol but maybe soon. |

I'm a big fan of the colors in the R312 set. Here's are a couple of my favorites from my Cincinnati Reds collection.

and, for pre-war, two guys connected in history:
Toney won the game, but I prefer the lefty's follow-through. 1921 E121 JIM HIPPO VAUGHN.jpg 1922 E120 FRED TONEY.jpg

Here's one that I have in my collection purely because I thinks it's a great looking card.
Note: This isn't a picture of my card.

I was coming here to post the 33 Goudey Richards as well. Definitely one of my favorites. I also like the T206 Bell (hands above head).

Once again, the Richards card takes me back to the last scene in 'Field of Dreams'.
I may have to pick one up just for that reason. So Cool! .

The Goudey Richards card has always been a favorite. A while back on here someone posted the photo that was used to create the card, and no surprise, it is a fantastic photo.
Another card that has always spoken to me is the T206 Leifield pitching. Just a classic, colorful, unique wind-up pose, and perfectly composed image (card not mine). Brian |

cards that really don't fit in my collection except for the fact that I love the imagery. No scans available, but off the top of my head, the 1950 and 1951 Bowman have a few, including the 1951 Larry Doby. Within the T206, I like the Lake, Willis with bat, and the all-time classic T206 Lajoie with bat.

![]() ...I know some pre-war-only guys , real die-hard snobs , who , if they would ever consider any post-war set as being deemed worthy of a second look , would linger a bit looking at this issue... .. |

How can you not love the Tattoo Orbit set?
![]() 1961 Golden Press. I loved this set from the first time I saw one (Cobb) as a kid: ![]() Did Ted Williams ever make an ugly card? ![]() Perhaps my favorite modern card: ![]()

Please don't throw eggs at this because of its sighting again, but if we are talking about cards looking good regardless of their player, I have always thought this one's striking red background is why it looks so good. Any player would look great on that background, to me.
