Default FS: SGC 60 Cobb Red Portrait - Looks like an 8! **SOLD**

I had several inquiries about this card so I thought I would post a scan. Card has a clean SCap 350 back (centered like the front), and razor sharp corners. Not sure what SGC was looking at, I can't find any issues front or back. A PSA 5 just sold for around $5K a couple of weeks ago. I'm looking for a fair price applicable to the card , if not I am going to submit it to PSA....Thanks, **SOLD**

I was called an idiot so i hope i can have a bit of leeway to respond in a b/s/t read your pm (made before you posted that)...i corrected myself..and said sgc 5 price (forgot card was an sgc 5 not an sgc 4)... why would i ask for a sgc 4 price on a sgc 5 card ....i did ask for a psa 4 price on a sgc 5 card...when you didnt give a price, i meant to say i wanted to pay what sgc level is for the card at issue (which forgot was a 5 not a 4) ......i made the point you said sgc 5s go less than psa 5s on this board all the time.....that was the point...check your pm that you must of miissed while you were typing the post calling me an idiot etc........i got a feeling you wont respond, perhaps you wanted more than what sgc 5s have gone for (since you quote psa 5 past sale in post) you could of just said that... so no reason to make up fake excuses....all i asked is i was interested in paying an sgc 5 level price and you refused to give a price......you dont ever have to give a price but lets make sure the facts are straight....i wasnt attempting to be rude at all....i would never think you would ever accept anything less than you could easily get on ebay or an AH,, i not here to waste your time...i just think never giving a price to anyone sort of wastes our time.......thanks

If you read my post, it says that clearly. And I won't crack it out, I'll submit in the SGC holder...

First off very nice card. And yes of course I did. Why would you sell at an sgc 5 when it will likely be higher. That seems like quite a but of money on the table. But it is hard to tell what you are asking for the card. Are you asking an sgc 5 price or closer to a psa 8 price? Clarification would help...

Closer to a 6 price, I think that is fair for both parties, especially with a 5 that just went for $5K. I'm sure SGC saw something thus the grade. Having said that, I have collected cards for 25 years and I don't see anything. This is a card where to some degree, you buy the card and not the holder. If it doesn't bring a fair price in my eyes, I will submit it to PSA. Not really sure these are topics for the BST though anyway....

Hi Peter, it does from what I can tell. I actually put it up compared to my 8 and I don't see any issues with that. I'll post a scan of the back in just a bit....Again, SGC must have seen something, but it is evidentally so tiny that I simply can't find it. I'm wondering if it's the normal skip of ink that you see in every red Cobb, right in the middle of the front border on the line. My PSA 8 has it as well. Maybe it was a new grader, I dont know.

Did you send it in to SGC for a review?

it sure looks like a real beauty but the scans a little blurry. Is that a tiny indent top center that looks like a pinhole that doesn't go all the way through the paper? That's the only thing I can see that would knock it down from an obviously much higher grade. If I were you I would crack that sucker and gamble on a 5+ from PSA to potentially double your money!

Tell you what, I'll give you $3k and I'll take the gamble. I'll pay you another $1000 if it grades a psa 5, $1500 for a 6 and additional $2000k for a 7.

No- there is not an indent at the top. As a matter of fact, my PSA 8OC has the same identical marks. I'll send scans of it with an email. This is a mark commonly seen on red Cobbs.

Why all the drama? It is your card, you know what you want for it. In my opinion, prices should be required for all cards listed for sale.

There is no rule for stating a price. Period. Other boards are different and if someone doesn't list a price on a card, they get their head ripped off by the mob. On this board, you can list whichever method you choose. Great to share an opinion, but may want to get a little more experience in before doing that

Added: Great looking card Kevin. Good luck with the sale

Kevin a couple just listed at REA which should give you a pretty good idea of market value. Good Luck!

Kev seems like you're taking a lot of unwarranted crap for simply listing a card for sale. It's a great card good luck with the sale.
