Just picked up this miscut E92 for my Dave Shean fielding pose run and thought I would share.
What's interesting is the portion of the second card showing is dark red. There are 3 dark red background E92 cards, Crawford, knabe and Tinker. ![]() Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk |

neat pickup!
Is some of the white on the left border paper loss? None of the 3 possible subjects you mentioned seem to have white on the right border other than Knabe, whose shirt is white but takes up the entire bottom half so its not consistent with all the red that is in your picture. So I'd assume its either Crawford or Tinker. |

The white area is paper loss.
Actually, I thought it was all paper loss but under a loupe, the small area just above mid way, almost mid way in Sheans body is an area of print. I think its Crawfords bat now that I loupe it. That same red ink from the second csrd can also be found on the reverse.
Interestingly, the missing portion of the candy shield isn't paper loss. Its missing ink. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk |

I am sure it is Dougherty.
The shoulder and leg match up to the correct ink spots on the card.

If this is Dougherty than we can use that info with the Collins Dougherty miscut to show it is Collins-Dougherty-Shean on the sheet.

You are right it does seem to match up.
The red seemed too dark to me to be Dougherty but your comparison image looks good. I will have to find Dougherty and compare color in-hand. Looks like we may have a 3-in-a-row match. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk |

I'm also sure it is Dougherty. There are print spots about midway up, plus one at the bottom. Matches shoulder and knee of Dougherty.
More info to come: Last edited by t206hound; 03-07-2016 at 09:20 AM. |

Found this image of Collins that shows partial adjacent (about the same as the shean card):

Looks like Knabe to me, though the quality is low so it is hard to tell for sure what is print and what is paper loss.
