Are you separating the coins from the board or asking for offers on the entire piece?

The Presentation Board is staying intact. There are only known 13 Prototypes with a recent Silver Jackson being sold in a Auction. It would be a shame to ruin a piece of topps new product concept, that never made it as a test issue or for national distribution.

understood. Good luck to you. I appreciate the history behind it, but the presentation board itself would hold no value for me personally. It's the item being presented, specifically the Garvey coin, that is the draw for me. If I were to buy it, I'd break that up in a heartbeat and sell the Jacksons to recoup some of my cost. I'd probably be greedy and keep both Garvey coins, but if the opportunity arose to trade one for a different metal type Garvey, then I would be in a better position to make the deal.

Great item for sure.

Default 1980 Coins

Any idea why a presentation board would have only 2 of the 3 coins involved in the "set". Also, SCD seems to indicate the 3 coins could be found in 3 formats. If that is true ( not sure if it is) , why would the presentation board not have all 3 ?

As you and I have discussed I have a set of 3, I think mine are tarnished bronze. I had a second "gold" Jackson at one time. I know a guy with that Jackson and a Garvey. I have no idea how many of the 3 coins exist. What is the source of your 13 number ? With 3 coins in the set I would have thought the number would be a multiple of 3.

Also, I seem to recall SCD said some could be found with holes in them, possible for a chain. Have you seen one of those ?
