I am looking to possibly sell my partial 1956 Topps baseball set. Every card is graded by SGC and is NM or better - the majority 7 and 7.5, but there are a few 8's. There are 131/342 cards, or 38% of the set. I have $2461 into the cards, that does not include what I paid for shipping. I'm looking to get out of it what i have into it or best reasonable offer, so let's start it at $2400 + actual shipping. Serious offer will be considered, ridiculous offers will be ignored.
It is currently #7 on the SGC registry, but I was never looking to compete for top place. It was just for fun, with the intention of building a NM (and better) set all SGC graded. I've just lost interest in it over the last few months and would rather direct the funds to another area of collecting that I am now focused on. I don't need to sell the set, so please keep any offers realistic. If it doesn't sell, I'll just put it on the back burner and maybe pick it up again in the future. Below is a link to the registry with scans. There are 9 cards (all commons) that I have purchased over the last few months that I haven't entered (again, just lost interest). I can send you a complete list if interested. Highlights include HOFers such as Spahn, Banks, Mathews, Fox, Ashburn, Snider, Killebrew, Roberts, Kell, Doby and Wilhelm. There are also some minor stars such as Giles (key card), Alston, Klu, Skowron, McDougald, Erskine, Labine and Larsen. Also includes some team cards such as Phillies, Nationals, Dodgers (key card) and Athletics. PM with any questions or offers, but a commitment to buy takes precedence over ongoing negotiations. http://www.sgccard.com/usersetcompos...usersetid=7596 Edited to add: The majority of the cards feature the old SGC flip. It was when SGC changed their flip when I really started to lose interest. Last edited by vintagetoppsguy; 12-08-2015 at 11:52 AM. |

Thanks for the kind words, Robert.
I've had one serious offer. We were close, but couldn't close the deal. My absolute rock bottoml line us $2000, and I would have to think about that. |

Hate to see you ending such a great task. I can also vouch for David and his quality of cards. Wish I had the funds to jump on this.
