If you'll briefly humor me for an unrelated aside about this card:
A kid I used to regularly trade cards with back in junior high school (this would have been about 1990...) once brought a '52 Topps Mays to school in an inch-thick lucite screw-down. Why I didn't try to trade him out of it that day I'm not entirely sure...as he would routinely let me get other good cards from his collection ('56 Clemente comes to mind) pretty easily. Oh well. If memory serves, that Mays was nicer than this one.
