1984 Cal Ripken All-Star Blank Back
So, I purchased this card out of curiosity and submitted it to PSA in a batch I was submitting. It came back as N9. RETURN NO GRADE.
Why don't they tell me why? What is the rationale? It's clearly a legit Topps card. Does anyone know how rare these might be or be able to tell me what PSA couldn't condescend to explain as to why it's not gradeable, I'd appreciate the insight!   Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk

Blank backs
I am not a graded guy but maybe they do not grade proofs or blank backs or wrong backs. There are some player and general collectors who collect such cards but in my experience they do not usually carry big premiums. There are exceptions, like the 67 Maris as a Yankee or the 77 Jackson as an Oriole, but usually because the front differs from the regular issue cards. The 84 Topps Encased or Head in the Box cards are other examples.

The 1982 Topps Ripken blank backs are almost always fakes. Your 1984 card is probably just a pritning error and should have been graded as authentic by PSA

isnt it a box top by any chance??? and maybe that why they cant grade it because the card was scissored from the box????
|
