Is this signature Pucketts? Is it authentic?

Not a Puckett expert, but this is one that I would stay away from

I think it looks okay. Just like the ones I have in my collection from later in his career and following retirement.

Out of curiosity, why do you think this autograph is not authentic?

I am out of Mpls and have bought and sold MANY Puckett signatures. The signature is good, but is missing ink and very hurried. If you can get it cheap, go for it. If not, wait for a much better example. Might have been a later Twinsfest signature where he was a signing machine.

I agree with Duluth Eskimo. This signature is good. 100% authentic.

Interesting discussion on this. On the card side we have similar discussions and then someone gets their eye poked out and the fun is over.

Agree. Still wondering why others think it's fake. Not sure why someone would forge a side panel Puckett autograph signed in sharpie!

Puckett was a family friend growing up and have numerous Puckett autos. The "K" is off even if it's rushed. He took great pride in his autograph and wouldn't miss entire letters with his signature.

I stand by what I said. I know Pete is from Minnesota as well, but DWR and I have a pretty good idea what we are talking about too. Take it for what it's worth.

I heard Puckett could sign 1,000 autographs during his session at Twinsfest. He didn't look up, just kept signing in order to accommodate those waiting in line.

I know that's a lot of autographs, and if you have done signings in the past, hard to believe but true or very close. He was a signing machine.
