Picked up these 1913-1916 Michigan Football tickets/postcards in a scrapbook. Any ideas on the value? I've looked around, but it seems like Michigan tix from this era don't pop up that often.
thanks, Ryan ![]() ![]() 1913 Michigan Penn ![]() ![]() 1914 Michigan Cornell ![]() ![]() 1914 Michigan Penn ![]() ![]() 1915 Michigan Cornell ![]() ![]() 1916 Michigan Penn 1 ![]() ![]() 1916 Michigan Penn 2 ![]() ![]() 1913 Michigan - MAC (Michigan St.) ![]() ![]() 1913 Michigan Freshman vs Ypsi |

They sell well but you did not get very desirable opponents and the condition is not great. Still though, I would think you can get around $100 each for the tickets.

Great Lot Ryan!! Nice pick up. For those years (1914-1916), those opponnets are as desirable as you'll gonna get as Michican hadn't come into itself yet, and Penn and Cornell were near the top and the best opponents Michigan faced. That being said, definite conditions isues and I wouldn't even go as high as $100. Here is my estimate based on condition, how much of the ticket is present, and context:
-1913 Penn: $40 -1914 Cornell: $60 -1914 Penn: $45 -1915 Cornell: $70 (if better condition, much more, as Cornell was undefeated and Nat. Champs in 1915, so very desierable ticket to the right collector) -1916: Penn: $50 -Mich/Mac RPPC: $150 maybe more - this is the gem in the lot. Great RPPC!! -Frosh RPPS: $50 - 70 Last edited by vintagesportscollector; 05-05-2015 at 10:42 AM. |

I think to the right Michigan collector, these could bring $100 or more on eBay. I have sold some vintage Michigan tickets and there was a good bit of interest and bidding. Both Rhys and Joe make good points.

Wasn't that the George Sisler era at Michigan? Any added value because of that? He did play football as well as baseball there, correct?

I don't think he played Football there. With a quick seach cannot find any reference to him actually playing football there. He was a football star in HighSchool. Found this passage in his Biography..
