| Yet another major autograph ID error from a major auction house

http://sports.ha.com/itm/baseball/19...a/7120-81414.s Honestly. Quality control across the board at many of these places is simply not up to par. Take a look at the autograph they purport to be Mordecai Brown. First of all it looks nothing like a Mordecai Brown signature. Secondly, it isn't "M Brown" but rather "W Brown" which means that it is Walter "Jumbo" Brown. Also from the signatures that they cannot discern I can see Tony Lazzeri, Herb Pennock, and notably Hank Johnson. His presence as well as Jumbo Brown makes this a 1932 Yankee partial ball. Mordecai Brown? Really? Tom C |
