Default Louisville Slugger Fischer bat pre-1920 for sale

The label dates this bat somewhere in the span of 1916 to 1929. Most likely, the player is William Fischer, who played in the National League from 1913 to 1917 with Brooklyn, Chicago and Pittsburgh. The bat is 34 inches long and weighs 36 ounces. There is a crack on the handle and the bat shows moderate use. A really nice looking bat for display. $200 delivered. Now $100 delivered.

1922-24 labeling. Large 125 in the center label was used during those years.

Tim:

Sounds like you may be the expert but I have a 125 bat for Maggert (PCL) who was out of baseball following the 1920 season. Are you sure about those dates?

Tim is correct on the labeling. It's from 1922-24 due to the width of the 125.

Nate:

Here is the oval on my 1916 to 1929 Maggert bat. Is the 125 width as you described? What are the possible dates? Thanks.

Default Fischer

I am not an expert on bats, so I will take your word on it. That means I have the wrong player, and therefore also the wrong price. Reduced to $125 delivered.

That looks like the C-5A centerbrand, which was used from 1925-1933 and the font for the name was used from 1922-1926, so I would call it a 1925-1926 bat.
