I've recently been taken by the T3's. What are your fav's? I'd say my top 3 are:
Safe at Third Lennox Stahl Which one's do you favor? For those collecting, which have been your most challenging to acquire?

I really need to get a few more but my only type is Cobb. I guess that tells you my favorite one. Not sure about liking others more than one another but they all look pretty good to me. There are some fantastic poses.

I tend to gravitate towards HOFers, but even putting that qualification aside I might still have to vote for the Speaker.
It's just something about the full swing pose, the intensity of Speaker's stare, the grip on the bat, the green grass with the stadium background, and, fittingly, the red socks. You can sense the movement and grace of Tris' swing even though the image is sitting still. Artwork on cardboard. |

I like the St. Louis Browns players in this series. I think the uniforms look cool. Wish the Padres would go back to Brown!

This is my favorite common--got it all, the stroke, the clarity, the great colors (love the copper grandstand) and white uniform in contrast.
Of the "big" cards--LaJoie. http://www.net54baseball.com/attachm...1&d=1404702257 Last edited by GregMitch34; 07-06-2014 at 09:04 PM. |

Commons:
Elberfeld - Looks like he's actually moving. Bridwell - Fantastic full swing, glove in back pocket. Kleinow - Full catcher's gear. Merkle - something almost angelic (bit hazy look to it). Stars: Lajoie - One of the best cards in ANY set. Cobb - Another classic. By far the best looking set of all time. I know a lot of guys gravitate towards T206 but this one tops it easily IMO.

I agree 100% on the Lennox, which is the only one I own at the moment. I plan to get a couple more as they look great in my home office. I can't get the colors to saturate in the scan like they present on the card unfortunately but they are spectacular.

I cannot think of an unattractive T3. Perhaps I am biased because he is a Pirate. Nonetheless, I have always liked the Fred Clarke. It is also the only example in my collection. The stripes on his sleeves and socks really pop out and the colors of the sunset with the stands in the background are very attractive.

A city of industry emerging circa 1910 in the back ground
![]() Gorgeous sunset in the bottom of the 9th, no night games yet ![]() The bunt! Widely used back then ![]() I could find something in each of of these little pieces of art, but these go widely unnoticed
