So I am sure a lot of you guys get hit up by friends when they find out you are in the hobby, in order to help with autographs and memorabilia. Here is a ball that one of the workers across the street from me asked if I could help with. I told him I would post it on the board and see if I can find any help. Personally, I have no clue so any help is appreciated. For all I know it could be a 10 cent ball and fake signature (and a fake that I have no clue about anyway

He never seemed to forget that there is a 'c' after the 'S' before.....
![]() Nor can I find any example of that R or S. He also was out of the game in 1991, (AAA) except for 1 game in 1996. So this would have been a post-career or minor league signing. I mean, WHO would do that to a perfectly good ball?? ![]() (My first guess was Schu also.)

You guys are awesome. So I guess the total value is around $1-$2 because the baseball itself looks pretty good?

That is former Ranger Rusty Greer. I'm 100 percent certain of that.

I agree with Jax, it's Rusty Greer.
With Rick Schu you usually got a distinctive R..K but the last part is very similar. Greer is pretty consistent with the R_ for first name. |

Thanks....I will research Greer. That makes some sense too since it was found in the Dallas area. I appreciate everyone's input.

I always thought Rusty Greer never got the credit he deserved. He was a hell of a player.

BTW, I'm sure the owner of the ball is relieved to know that it's Greer and not Schu. |

I absolutely loved watching him play. He always gave 110%.

I am not sure about that but he was a hometown hero baseball player. He was the kind of player every manager wanted. I valued the ball at about $25 for the owner as Greer was a career .300 hitter and a local celeb....
