Kind of hard to imagine that with so few listings the seller would duplicate what they are doing? Maybe it's some kind of subliminal way to get people to bid?

I thought the automated ebay checks wouldn't allow duplicate items? I know I've been automatically notified before when I tried (by mistake) to list a duplicate item. Unless it's "different" because one is an auction and the other is a BIN???
