Default 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle RC I just puchased it

I finally have a Mickey Mantle Rookie again it has been 20 years since I had one--I had 4 in the 1980's the last one I kept until I made a major purchase and sold it for $9k---it was around excellent condition---this one for sure is nicer and graded a psa 5---I think it is a strong 5---wonder what you guys think----I have been trying to get a lower graded one the last year and didnt have any luck I went for this one hard and got it-----It feels good to have the Mick again. Nice pickup Don!

I was finally able to get one (a PSA 3) myself about 10 years ago, and still to this day, pinch myself every time I look at it, to make sure I'm not dreaming

I think Ferris Bueller said it best:

I highly recommend picking one up... If you have the means.

Nice haul.

I think the card is a great get for any collector, but that said I would strongly disagree with its bump potential. It would cost $500 to review that card for a bump, and so it's not something that should be done without some serious consideration.

Again, it's a fantastic card-- and the owner should be proud to have a copy in his collection-- but I think when we talk about surefire bump prospects, we have to temper exuberance with the often harsh realities of grading.
