Babe Ruth hit more homers than the other 35 players born on this date 714-687. Amazing stat is that the next five on the list for most homers were all Pirates players for a stretch, Richie Zisk, Dale Long, Smoky Burgess, Glenn Wright and Pedro Alvarez. Not exactly a group of no names.

I don't have any Ruth cards, but I have something I like a little more. The bat William Bendix used(and took home) in the Babe Ruth Story. His niece(a family friend) gave it to me when I was eight

Mike Jorgensen was born on the same day Ruth died and he had a decent 17 year career. Ruth passed away on August 16th, same date as Tommie Aaron(Hank's brother) and Bobby Thomson.

The 2007 Standard Catalog contends that it's his rarest Exhibit, Scott, and I would tend to agree, although I'm biased--I have the PSA 5--but I know the Exhibit Man has stated that the 1923-24 Exhibit is the toughest. Great card in any event.

Yeah Ken, the Ruppert added in along with the setting for when the signed his contract it 1933. It has quickly become my favorite in my collection.
