Polo Grounds Snapshot
Hi-
I recently acquired the snapshot scanned below. I scanned it first with 200 DPI, and the second scan is at 600DPI. Thanks to quick responses, it is fairly obvious this is not what I thought it was so I changed the title but kept my original post below. Now, does anyone have any ideas on the ceremony? I will do some research based on the information from the two members below, but I figured I would also ask in case anyone can identify the ceremony. I believe the right side of the photo shows Ruth in his white suit looking at Gehrig (there is a man in a different color suit between them holding a microphone). Is this wishful thinking on my part? If so, any idea what this picture is from? I scanned the back below as well. I really appreciate any help you can provide. I am sorry for the large scans, but I figured it was the best way to capture the detail. Thanks, Alan Elefson aelefson@hotmail.com
