Instead of " Factory # " it should read " Kinko's Store # ".

I don't collect T206 cards, so please excuse my ignorance, but how do you immediately know this is a fake?

Default Mike....

thanks!

I'm sick of seeing a ga zillion of them

gregr2- no question is too ignorant here and that is a valid question-

just looking at T206 after a while, you get the eye for them.....the one tell tale sign is the team caption has to be brown and not black, and the letters are usually just a little different size each..... the colors are all wrong on this one(green Cobb), ....and the borders are huge......if this were scrap it would be worth $$$$$$$$$$$$
but it's crap

Thanks, that makes sense. I looked at the card over and over and not knowing that the team caption had to be brown I was a bit confused. The borders did look odd but I figured it was a miscut. Learning, learning, learning.... I really appreciate the information, thanks!

anytime my friend you can pm or email me anytime with T206 questions(other issues I'm a little vague on)......after you see them a while, you'll pick out a fake a mile away, but be careful, a lot of bad scans make it very difficult.....we are all here to help and NO question is ever to stupid

I don't collect T206 cards either, so please excuse my stupidity too, but what would a legitimate reprint (ie Fritsch sells, etc,...) look like other than it would say reprint on the back ?

Default No stupid questions here....

my friend.....please ask away.....they are not stupid questions

most don't say "reprint".....this set is prob the most faked/copied/reprinted I would guess...

some actually look very good(few and far between)....but 98 % reprints of 206 are easily differentiated by the trained T206 eye.....arghhh matteeeyy...

Instead of spunktastic I think his eBay name should be junktastic. Three fake T206's and a likely fake 1861 Confederate half dollar......
