Default SOLD: 'The Fan - His Book' 1910, 1912 editions (Lajoie)

Not a lot is known about these booklets that were produced and issued locally in Cleveland by The Guardian Savings and Trust Company.

The 1910 booklet has 44 pages, the 1912 has 64. Content is what you would expect: league stats, league schedules, history pennant winners, Cleveland baseball info, etc.

I first became aware of these when the 1910 version, with Nap Lajoie on the cover, popped up on eBay. I paid $128 for that one. These two examples are from the collection of a longtime hobbyist whose collection I am helping to sell.

The 1910 edition is the more desirable of the two, both because of the cover and condition. The 1912 booklet has some bleeding of the red cover on the inside pages, and the wrinkling of those pages indicates at one point the booklet became wet. Nevertheless, they're both scarce and desirable.

1910 edition: $xx

1912 edition: $xx

Both for $xxx

PayPal is fine. No need to "gift" your payment. (Check, cash, money order also OK).

A commitment to buy takes precedence over an ongoing negotiation.

Feel free to email any questions.

Thanks,

Rob
