Heyo - Long time "lurker", but have not posted much. However, I was hoping to benefit from the collective wisdom of Net54 members. I am planning to sell a T205 Mathewson w/Sovereign back. It is graded 3.5 VG+ (grade is accurate, IMO), but it is in a GAI slab - aaccckkk! Is it worth breaking it out and submitting to PSA or SGC before selling, or would the difference I might realize in the selling price not be worth it?

I think that question makes sense... Appreciate any thoughts board members may have! |

3.5 is a borderline call as to crack or not crack. Would probably get more if it was in a PSA or SGC slab but you have to factor in the shippin costs both to and from the grader plus the grading fees.

The card might get downgraded if you send it to PSA or SGC, but cards graded by them generally sell for more than GAI.

But as the previous post mentioned, it may not sell for that much more to make it worth re-grading. |

If you look at VCP and/or CardTarget, you might be able to determine what this card in this grade sold for in a GAI holder versus PSA or SGC. The answer to that question might help you decide if the regrade gamble and expense is worth it.

I would post a scan of the card then get opinions.
