Default 1955 Bowman Mickey Mantle PSA 5 SIGNED PSA/DNA SOLD

So....

I purchased this item in a frame and was led to believe that the card had been removed from its PSA/DNA holder and had then been placed into the frame. I have had a hard time selling the piece and was hoping that perhaps it was due to the uncertainty surrounding the card having been removed from its slab, along with the whole idea of the cumbersome frame. I decided I should remove the card from the frame and get it looked at by JSA, thus removing those two obstacles to its selling.

Imagine my surprise this morning when I opened the back of the frame and saw that the card was still in its PSA/PNA slab. Saved me some time and money no doubt.

Signed early Mantle cards are super tough to find. The cards already had value by the time Mantle started to autograph stuff for a living, so people were reticent to "ruin" the card by having Mantle write on it. Generally speaking, when a pre-1958 Mantle is found signed, the card is a beater. Thus the scarcity of this particular item. The card has been graded as PSA5 EX, and the autograph has been certified by PSA/DNA.

Would be very tough to improve upon the condition of this card if looking to complete a signed 1955 Bowman set or run of signed Mantle cards.

Asking $SOLD delivered.

Tom C
