Default FS: 1955 Topps SANDY KOUFAX ROOKIE PSA 5 Last drop! SOLD!

High End for the grade. $430 delivered, via PayPal gift, check, or MO. I know my price is higher than others, but this card is EXTREMELY HIGH END for the grade. The new owner will not be disappointed!

Nice card. I'm interested. Why do you think that it received a 5? Wrinkle? Centering? It's difficult to tell from the scan.

Thank you

My whole sub got slammed. Everything was about 1 grade too low. Check out the 1954 Topps Willie Mays 4.5 and the 1952 Jackie Robinson 1.5 on Ebay to see what I am talking about. They are under completed listings so you can see the premium they got and how nice they are for the grade. This card has no wrinkles or anything. Small indent on a corner? Looks super. I could probably crack it out, sell it raw and get a premium.....

On a side note, before I get too many low ball offers.....I get All Star Cards MONTHLY BUY LIST delivered every month. PLEASEEEEE don't offer me less than what they are paying for cards. I will NEVER sell cards for less than what they are paying. I also have a good eye for which cards are high end and which cards are overgraded. I will price them accordingly.

The centering keeps it from a higher grade. I would consider cracking it out and selling it raw. It looks beautiful.

Was that Banks rookie on your sub too?

I knew that wouldn't last long. The buyer got a deal on that. Hard to find them centered t/b like that.

No.....I rather crack it out, sell it raw, and get more than what I am asking for than take a loss. My apologies....

I thought about it JJ....I just hate playing that game....I despise it. I could tell you some stories about a card's history that will make your head spin. While some people enjoy the crackout game, I view it as a money making venture of the grading companies, that eat into the bottom line.

Were you able to tell if that is a wrinkle at the bottom by any chance? That is probably the reason it is graded a 5 and not a 5.5 or 6. Still a nice card. Still interested at my offer price.

I just don't see it in person. Not a wrinkle. Card is still available.....and PLEASEEEEE......No offers less than what All Star Cards is paying (Yes, I get their catalog and know what their BUY PRICE is on the key cards), and no offers less than VCP average (Yes, I am a member and have a good idea where this should land if I were to do a .99 cent auction)

Right on. So true. Yes, it's an opinion-- and one company's opinion can understandably vary from another's. But the same company should get it right the first time they are paid to do so. The very principle of allowing a review is to concede they often get it wrong. I say use'm for what amounts to authentication and judge the grade with our own eyes.

Yep. I do realize that all cards aren't created equal. Some people are blinded by the flip and price accordingly.

Bobby,
Your tying our hands with the - " make sure your offer is more then ALL Star Cards" and " don't make it less then..so and so". Maybe you can make up the lose on the next card you sell ..what do you say ?

No...I am saying that if you are offerning less than what a wholesaler is paying, there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY IN HELL I am going to sell to you. Why would I sell to you for less than what another man is going to pay?? They have an open offer to buy certain cards at certain prices. To get their money, all I have to do is ship them the card. No fees or anything! Mama didn't raise no fool! You want to get items on the cheap?? Bid on my 99 cent auctions!

While this is understandable, myself as well as others like to sell to collectors. Someone who we know will appreciate the card more than a person just looking to make a buck.

You are certainly entitled to sell to whoever you wish, but there are many people on this forum and others that sell/give away cards for less money than market value.

Point taken. I used to do that alot on the Pay It Forward thread. Unfortunately, I can't do that all the time.

Bobby,

Please let me know - within this B/S/T thread - whether or not there are any issues with the holder which might indicate that it has been tampered with.

Provided that there are none, and if you are willing to offer a 14 day - no questions asked - return on this card, I will be glad to take it off your hands for $430.

I look forward to your reply.

Best Regards,

Eric

The case has not been tampered with. I didn't buy it already graded, I was the one who had it and got it graded. Unfortunately, I didn't see this in time. The card has been sold. The easiest way for me to see interest is with a PM.

Bobby,

No worries...I am glad you found a buyer for it.

Beautiful card, by the way. Sorry that I missed out on it.

Best Regards,

Eric

Just didn't want you to take the chance on selling it twice.
Good to know you've sold it and won't have to deal with it ever again...

LMFAO!! You say that like it is a bad thing! I sell cards...that is what I do...I would MUCH rather sell cards on here than Ebay! Just seems to be harder to move cards here than Ebay however.....
