Obscure MLB teams through the centuries

We all know the New York's, Chicago's, L.A's of MLB. Along with a few other teams who have been around since the first few years of the league/leagues's. But how about the Worcester's, Troy's, and even the 1884 Richmond team who joined the league for half a season. They didnt even finish in the cellar! Pretty good for a B team moving up on short notice. Its a pretty interesting list from the 19th century of teams/cities involved. Anyone live in one of the cities where MLB baseball came and went?

My all time favorite, from the 1884 Union Association:

They jumped in late from the Eastern League, and had the great "The Only" Nolan, and the not so great Jersey Bakley.

My mom's family is from Elizabeth, NJ, where they had the 1873 Elizabeth Resolutes of the National Association. They finished 2-21 and lost all eight home games

Surprised KC didn't have a team in the Missouri Valley League

We had our first baseball team here in 1874.
Our first pro team was the Winnipeg Metropolitains who finished 2nd in the Manitoba league their only season in 1886.

Two of my favorite Old Judge era team names were the Jersey City Skeeters and the Rochester Hop Bitters.

I'm originally from Worcester Mass. I didn't know anything about the Worcesters until I joined Net54.
