Harry Heilmann & Heinie Manush check signed by both $750.00
HARRY HEILMANN COMPLETE PERSONAL CHECK MADE OUT TO AND ENDORSED ON THE REVERSE BY HEINIE MANUSH Great item signed by TWO Hall of Famers. Check measures 3 x 7 1/4. and is dated November 15th, 1949. A little known fact is that Manush was actually Heilmann's landlord and this check made out for $100.00 was to pay his rent ! Only a few of these are known to exist and this is the first one I've offered in many years. Manush was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 1964 and died in 1971. Heilmann was a FOUR TIME batting champion and played for the Tigers 1914, 1916-1929 and the Reds in 1930 & 1932. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1952 a year after his death in 1951. $750.00
