Thanks for posting that article, Bob. I was completely unaware of this oversight.
Did you know that in 1922 when the Dodgers, Giants and Yankees were all in NY and following Babe Ruth hitting 54 and 59 home runs, that Zack Wheat was voted by the fans as the Most Popular Player in New York? And the Dodgers have forgotten all about him. |

I'm not a Dodgers fan, my father in law gets the LA Times, and figured I would be interested in that article. I was. I'd be very interested in it if I was a Dodger fan.

Great article thanks for posting. It's terrible that Vances' wife burned all his memorabilia...I guess people have different ways of coping with loss. I'm a collector of Vance memorabilia and hope that the Dodgers someday do something to recognize these two greats.
