Another small set that I have for some reason been interested in for ever. Years ago, I bought an uncut sheet from a Net54 member for a bit too much money and of course, it was fake.

Anyways, I finally picked up my first two this week. I was still a little concerned until they arrived. It was nice to be able to use a 10X hand lens and see the square dots with the ink rings around them. It also helped to have the fake sheet to compare too. A huge difference. So now, it's four to go!!

Thanks Dan. I know what you mean. I guess at this point, if these are fake, they were at least photo-engraved like the originals!!

I bought a set of these years ago. I knew they were reprints, They were cheap. They were the blue variation.

Anyways, no, I didn't get my money back. This was probably 6 years ago! I remember questioning the seller but he was sure they were the real deal. I was a bit naïve at the time. LOL. Anyways, now that I have started on these, it is a great reference to have the fake the sheet. Once I compared these to the fake sheet, it quickly became evident on being able to the tell the difference. An expensive learning experience but I'm now glad it happened!!

If you know that the seller is still on the board, or if you want to PM me his name, he won't be anymore. Sorry that happened to you. It shouldn't have. I am sure we all have those lessons we have learned but they shouldn't happen on this board.

Hi Leon, it's been a long time and I can't remember who it was. I bought off eBay and recognized the guy thru this board. It was definitely a live and learn thing but I'm glad to have it know to compare with the real thing!
