It's cut from a larger ad piece and isn't quite as desirable as the piece it came from. Personally I would pass but it is a very collectible and pretty piece. A lot of collectors would enjoy it...

It was cut from a Goodwin round album page. I would pass at half that price.

Pretty worthless trimmed piece from, as Matt said, the round album.

Apparently its not worthless based on the auction result.
Is a "card" like this slabable? |

Actually, guys, according to the auction page....
In comparing images of the album and poster it becomes obvious that this image has been carefully cut from an original G76 Banner and not an A35 album as there are slight differences in the images on both. If they are correct, it was cut from the super rare G76 banner or poster, an example of which sold for over $100K in REA. Last edited by CW; 03-10-2013 at 11:26 PM. |

I see where the circle below cap was cut out, it seems like it is from a poster. Its cooler then a round album page but still a pass from me. I don't think you missed out too bad.

On the other hand, the fact that it's cut from the poster make it all the more tragic that an incredibly rare G76 poster was destroyed by a previous owner. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Agreed although we'll never know when it was actually cut from the poster or the intent of the original owner. I would have expected to see some glue residue on the back if it was intended for a scrapbook.

Six of one, half dozen of another, either way it seems relatively worthless to me ( unless of course you are reassembling the poster from scraps).

Well, whoever cut it had a steady hand, I'll give 'em that!
I guess one man's worthless cutout is another man's £311.93 eBay item. ![]() 3rd line. |
