T206 Al Shaw using a Glove on his throwing hand??

Hey Guys,
This card has always bothered me... It looks like Al has a glove on his throwing hand, and it might even have a ball in it.... Thoughts...

Looks like a weird ink effect.

They didn't do a great job on it. But it is his hand holding a ball. His hand is brown with his thumb coming across the front of the ball. The ball is a blueish black color.

Hey my bro! I think Bruce may be right.....a poor rendition of his hand, but i'll have to overlook that imperfection since there is so much beauty in this set
